Wedding Season is Here!

Could you believe I have officially captured my eighteenth wedding in just three years? Ahhh! Me either! Weddings are full of love, friendships, and great memories. I am truly honored and simply humbled to have been a part of such amazing weddings throughout the years! I can honestly admit that my growth has been "on the job" (and I continue to grow) with lots of trials and errors but I thank each and every one of my brides (and grooms) who entrusted me with capturing their most important date in their lives.

No two weddings are alike and quite honestly, they shouldn't be. Whether the venue is a stunning beach house overlooking the ocean or a local town hall that has been lovingly decorated by friends and family, the thing that really makes a wedding are the people and the relationships. I am just fascinated at the notion that photographs can trigger and even replace memories.

A tear in a Dad’s eye when he first sees his daughter in her wedding dress. A tight embrace between the bride and a best friend right after the ceremony. A look of pure happiness during the first dance between the newly married couple. Those are the things that make a wedding. Those are the moments that matter and the memories that you’ll want to keep with you for the rest of your lives. I live for those moments on a wedding day.

Moments shared between a bride and her bridesmaids is so special.

To be able to capture personal and intimate moments at a wedding takes a lot of trust and empathy. It’s such a privilege to be allowed to be present for some of the most emotional and memorable moments of people’s lives.

I live for the story. The real. The authentic. I truly believe that in years to come, when people look back at their wedding photographs, it is those moments that will matter to them. The moments that will take you back, to remind you how you felt on the day that you married your soul mate, will be the photographs of you holding each other in an unscripted moment, or the look on his face as he saw you for the first time walking down the aisle.

It's these moments that fill me with so much emotion inside. The special moments betwee a new husband and wife are what makes me love what I do so much.

The season is just starting and I am beyond ecstatic for what is ahead. I have already captured three weddings for 2017 and have a few more in the agenda for this summer and throughout the rest of the year. There is a quote from Audrey Hepburn that to plant a garden is to believe in the future, I also believe in planting the seed of true love. Love is an expression of hope and belief in the future, regardless of whether you have children or not, it is a commitment and a belief in an uncertain at times world. I hope to continue capturing love - whether it is a mother to be, family moments or a happily ever after, my faith is to continue growing with my clients for many years to come! Thank you all for being a part of this incredible journey
